Hello! Thank you very much for liking our work! :DDD Kariki used my own camera for the latest shot. Its an (old) Nikon D3000 with a 85mm lens. But I’m more than satisfied with this camera model. I would recommend it to everyone who starts photography.
Hello dear!! Thanks for your question. May I ask you how far you got with your cosplay till now? :)
As for the belts: We made those from scratch. We searched around for a really thick fake leather in the right colour and sewed every f***ing meter. If you want to give it a try, make sure to get a leather wich is used for furniture - like couches and such!
The buckles are from ebay (you’ve got a lot of choices here). Luckily we got them for exact three persons.
If I remember correctly our belt-stripes are about 2,5 cm.
And here you can see hopw we attached the V-Straps to the belt!
Hello anon! I don’t know why you want my opinion on these, but I try to tell you why I like one of these the most. :)
I would go for Shiro from Adekan, because the costume design is not to much and not to less. It has its details on the right places and the amount is fitting too.
To me it looks really unique and it would be a challenge to make it as good as possible. (that girl did a good job on it.) I think what makes this one more impressive - to me - are the techniques the cosplayer had to use while crafting this costume. Starting from searching for all the pearls/gems, doing the gradiant and linking that petal-skirt neatly!
(and now you tell me that this whole thing is bought >D)
I changed the design of our blog! Now you can browse our Cosplays, FAQ and Art way easier. :>
Hello dear! I can show you the base wig Majin bought for hers: Hanji wig
She doesn’t have the exact link anymore, becase ebay sucks… but it should be a wig similar to this! Its just the base tough. Majin costumized her wig a lot. She cut and restyled it completely. But its important to get a wig with clip on and lose strands at the nape of the neck. :)
Hello-hello sweetie. :D Thank you very much! <3 The first real photos we made, we had the camera on a timer. The new ones (with blood) are shot by our dear friend Kariki. She did a really great job, didn’t she? ;)
Im so in love with her work. *_*
Hello again. :D I hope I could help you a bit? As for the googles: Those were made by Majin. But I have a some Info about it at our website blog: http://majinxkayleigh.com/Blog/SnK-Hanji-Goggles
The magic trick is to make a dummy first. I believe she tried it with foam rubber first to get the shape right.
I don’t mind!. :) Thanky for your question, you are welcome!
But this is a question which needs a LONG answer and I don’t know, if I can explain everything in english properly. I will give you rough summary tough:
We mainly used F-Boards and Worbla finest art. Because we wanted the 3DMG to be as light as possible.
The mechanism on the back is glued together from F-Boards (5mm) and partly modelled with Worbla. You can get a closer look on some materials and forms used here: http://majinxkayleigh.tumblr.com/post/81887168916/some-more-snk-3d-mg-progress-1-the-first (you can see the boxes here as well)
The knife-boxes are made of 10mm F-Boards covered in car wrapping foil and the gas bottle holder is made of Worbla again.
The wire shooting things on the belt are completely made with Worbla finest art. (http://majinxkayleigh.tumblr.com/post/83402003906/shingeki-no-kyojin-3d-mg-progress-i-dont-want)
The gas bottles are made of pipes with the upper part of a plastic bottle! (http://majinxkayleigh.tumblr.com/post/82507991256/some-more-snk-progress-the-back-part-is-already)
The knifes are made of very, very light wood. Its called balsa! But beware: it may be light, but its very soft too.
The handles are made of F-Boards (shape) and Worbla (cover) again. We managed to leave a part within the handle open. The result: We can plug our knifes on and pull them off. :D (http://majinxkayleigh.tumblr.com/post/83544862107/shingeki-no-kyojin-progress-aka-we-still-have)
So you can see: We used a lot of Worbla and mostly stuff you get from your local DIY store!
For more references you can find some more progress on our tumblr-blog.
I hope that hellps you a little. ^w^
